Thermowood is a modified timber cladding option offering consistency in colour (golden brown).
The growing in Finland, Thermowood starts life as standard (non-durable) redwood, however, through Thermal modification technology we are able to modify the timber cells and create a durable product.
During the heat-treating process the timber darkens, it becomes much more stable and the thermal insulation properties also improve.
Due to the low moisture content, Thermowood takes stains, oils and lacquers very well.
